Our landscaping, and how we go about it

A job starts with a phone call. We ask what you are seeing—the patch that looks tired, the hedge that got away from you, the yard you just want to walk through without thinking about. We set a time to come look. On site we walk the whole property, not just the trouble spot. We check the grade, the sun exposure, the root zones of trees, the sprinkler coverage if you have one. We talk about what you want and what you do not want to do yourself. Then we give you a quote that lays out what we will do, what we will use, and what it will take. No surprises.

The work itself comes down to the details that matter in this climate. We cut with sharp blades—dull blades tear grass and leave it brown. We trim hedges so light still reaches the inside of the plant, not just a flat wall of leaves. For mulch we use a double-ground hardwood that holds moisture and breaks down slow, not the dyed shreds that wash away. We pull weeds by the root when we can, and we spot-treat the rest with a selective herbicide that targets broadleaf without killing the turf. The difference between work that lasts and work that has to be redone next month is in the prep and the timing.
